As of 01 January 2020 there are new and very strict regulations regarding the specification, installation and maintenance of any septic tank or water purification system. In Spain the installation must also conform to national and local NTE (Building Regulations) for “evacuación de aguas”  (waste water disposal). Most local authorities and town halls have their own specific regulations for septic tanks, but they must all comply to the current EU environment regulations.

This can all be very daunting (even for native Spanish speakers) but Leddy Contractors has teamed up with Septic Tanks Spain and collectively there isn’t anything we don’t know about the whole installation and legal process of installing and legalising septic tanks and water purification systems.
